5 Months Old!

I cannot believe that Austin is officially 5 months. Time has just flown by! He is just really developing a personality now. I can tell when he's happy, bored, interested, curious, angry, etc. My favorite sound in the world is when he laughs- and he's starting to do this a lot. I also think he may be a Britney Spears fan because I was singing her new song to him this morning and he LOVED it. Really though, He is just such an easy-going baby. We've lucked out with this kiddo.

In the past month, Austin started rice cereal and baby food! We have feed him sweet peas, green beans, squash (just like his daddy, this is his least favorite), sweet potatos (his favorite). We will try carrots tonight. But, as my last post said, we are now dealing with man-poop. It burns my nose. Ryan has yet to change one of those diapers, I think he is scared. I don't blame him.

Austin is also at a point where is scooting around on his tummy and knows when he wants to go in a certain direction. He is determined! He is almost sitting, but then loses his balance and falls to the side. Not quite there yet!

Also, I swear he is going to cut a tooth any day now too, but I've been saying that for the past month and a half. He just gnaws on everything! I hope he's not a biter.

What else... Well, when Ryan picked up Austin at Belinda's the other day, her husband told him that he was her favorite. My obvious response- "But of course, why wouldn't he be?" ha! :) She's just always telling me what a happy baby he is, that's just so nice to hear. Today when I dropped him off, he little friend Brandon ran up to say 'hi' to him and Austin gave him the BIGGEST smile. It was adorable to see him interact with another little guy.

Alright- that's it for now! 2 guesses by 6 months- he'll be sitting and cut a tooth.... we shall see!
