6 Months Old!!!!

This is a couple of days late- we've been quite busy!

I really cannot believe how quickly the time has flown by. 6 months did NOT go by this fast when I was pregnant! Austin is just such a fun little guy now. He laughs at us and brightens up when we come in the room. We are just so in love with him- more and more each passing day. I don't know how that's possible. But it is.

The past month has been huge in terms of development. Here are some highlights:

• Austin is crawling. yep! He scoots around like G.I. Joe and really goes after things. He recently started getting up on all fours, but is a bit wabbly so can only technically "crawl" a little bit before falling back to his belly.
  


• Austin is also sitting up without help. Sometimes he falls to the side, but he's really getting strong.



• Austin LOVES his walker. I promise, I will get video up asap. It's super cute.



• We started feeding Austin the graduates puffs (kind of like cherrios, but disolve much faster). He is a little confused by them, but they keep him entertained for quite awhile.



• Austin loves sweet potatos, bananas, apples, carrots. He will choke down peas if I make funny noises but dislikes peaches. strange!



• Austin cut his first tooth a week ago and the one next to it is coming in now too. He'll have to bottom teeth by the time we go to CO! (he has also started getting me up again at night because of this. ugh). He also HATES Ora-gel, but it's pretty funny to see him drool and try to figure out what's in his mouth right after I put it in!



• He loves slapping his fist down on things down to make that "slap" noise. Can't get enough of it.



• I swear he says "mama". This is probably my over-active imagination, but I react every time so maybe he'll keep saying it.



• Austin loves to go to the park and swing!

We are headed back to CO in a couple of weeks and Austin can't wait to see his Nana and Gramp to show them all of his new tricks!

We went up to Ryan's grandparents' house for Easter brunch and had a great time. I look at these pictures and can't beleive how big Austin is getting! He sat at the table in his highchair, so was a part of the fun. You might even say he was the star of the show today.

Easter

It's Austin's first Easter and I forgot to have his pic taken with the Easter bunny, but that's okay because the Easter bunny's costume is a bit frightening, in my opinion. We'll save that for next year.

We're going up to to Ryan's grandparents' house tomorrow morning for brunch and it really brings me back to last year's Easter when we told Ryan's parents that we were expecting. Such a special day and they were so surprised! Here's the link and video ...I love reminiscing :)

Beach Day!

It was beautiful today, so we decided to throw on our bathing suits and head down to the beach. It was Austin's first time in the swim trunks that Nana got him, so we decided he should test them out....

It's official. Austin knows that he can throw a fit if he doesn't get his way!

The other night I was sitting at the computer and he started crumpling and eating a pice of paper, which I took away from him and he threw his first fit! The next night, I took a toy away from him when it was time to eat and same thing- yikes! HAHA!

He was a big ball of cuteness though when I bent down to pick him up out of his walker and he reached up for me- my heart melted a bit :)

Oh... and the WALKER. Wow! Austin is MOBILE now! In just a few short days he realized that he can really scoot around on his own and he is all over the place! I will get video soon because it is too cute.

Alright- we're off to the beach to enjoy this 85 degree day- yay!
