9 Months Old!!!

I really can't believe our little man is 9 months old. That's almost a YEAR!!! I just cannot get enough of him... he keeps me in stitches ALL of the time these days! Here's a list of fun things that have happened this month:

Austin is starting to develop a sense of humor! The other day, he made a funny face which made me laugh and then he did it again just to see my reaction... what a stinker! He also thinks I'm the most hysterical person ever and laughs at everything I do. That's quite an ego boost! ha!

Austin just started clapping!! I LOVE IT! So now, we just laugh and clap all the time!

He also makes "clicking" noises with his tongue- too cute :)

It's official. Austin says "mama" all the time! He even called Ryan "mama". We're working on "dada"

Austin is now cutting his 8th tooth. That's right. I have a man-baby. Kairee jokes that we are going to enroll him in kindergarten by his 1st bday.

Austin has been swimming a lot lately- he loves the water. we also retired the baby bath tub and he now bathes like a big kid with lots and lots of bubbles! He is a little maniac in the tub! I think we have a little surfer on our hands.

We've tried lots of new food this month. He loves the Gerber meat sticks, mum-mums, of course cheerios, I've started feeding him canned chicken that he can easily swallow and he tried ice cream for the first time!

Austin loves drinking out of a cup and now, whenever I have a cup and I'm holding him, he wants a sip.

Austin has started to act shy around strangers, especially when I am holding him. It's super cute because he hugs me tightly and puts his head on my chest, but I'm trying not to encourage it.

The other day as we were leaving in the morning, we said goodbye to Cleo (our cat) and I asked him "what does a kitty say? Meeeooow" and he turned around, scanned the room and looked right at Cleo!

And lastly... the biggest news of all.... Austin is STANDING!!! Two days ago we were at the pool and he was right next to my chair, let go and stood for about 10 seconds. He's been pulling himself up and letting go for awhile now, but falls after about a second or two. I was excited that he stood for so long! Before we know it, he'll be WALKING... yikes!

Oh Austin, these last 9 months have been incredible. You are such a happy, loving and smart little guy. You are the light of your mommy and daddy's lives and we love watching you grow and explore/learn new things! We love you so much, more than you will ever know!
