Austin's Adventures: Been Busy, But Good.

Man-oh-man. Life has been crazy! Sorry for the lack of posts... NEED TO FIND BALANCE.

My new position is going GREAT. Like, really great. I definitely feel like a fish out of water sometimes because managing a team of people is so new, but my own manager has become such a mentor to me and continues to assure me I am doing a good job. I'm learning something new about myself everyday. I also have very close connections with many of the people who have been working at ReachLocal for quite some time (working with many of them previously they've known me for years and saw my own work ethic and sales ability) and they have been very supportive, assuring me at times when I feel a bit unsure and it's been very nice to bounce things off of them and get their input. I know I'm only 2 weeks into it, but I love it. I feel like this is what I was made for professionally. I am so happy that I was finally honest with myself and honest with my boss- I hated sales! But I am good at it and I have more to give this company, so to manage a group of sales people now and train them is going to be a perfect fit. I haven't been this happy since working at Solstice in its prime (but let's be honest, that was only because of the money back then!) This is much more fulfilling on many levels.

Feeling secure. Feeling grateful. Feeling happy. Feeling I have a career path again instead of wandering a bit aimlessly. That's been a long time coming. The future looks bright... finally. I am THANKFUL.

On to Austin... he is just such a stinker. LOL! Making me laugh everyday with all of his new talents. Here are just a few:

He now knows how to "blow" and thinks it's hysterical to do a blowfish on my arm.

He is facinated with my belly button and likes to put his finger in it. But I have a very sensitive belly button and so it hurts! ( is it just me, or does everyone?).

Austin is teething. BIG TIME. It sucks. 2 molars on the bottom a nd I noticed 1 that had already poked through on top tonight- how'd I miss that?? Belinda says he's been SUPER cranky. Poor lil' dude.

On top of teething, he's been sick. Since Halloween! Not like so sick that I've had to take him to the Dr, but just sick. Boogers, coughing, yuckiness.
