So much to tell!

Gosh- where do I even begin? I'll try to make this as condensed as possible.

We are back in California. It's great to be back. It was so wonderful spending time with my parents and they got to spend time with Austin and witness a couple of huge milestones like rolling over!

My dad and I drove back with Austin and he was a TROOPER! Seriously, the best. The only time he had a freakout was when we got back into Orange County and reached the 405 rush hour traffic, but who doesn't have a freakout when they reach the 405, right? Ryan was anxious to see us and Austin greeted him with a big toothless grin. :)

Ever since Austin has been able to roll over, he rolls onto his stomach to sleep. Obviously, we're supposed to put him on his back to sleep, but he's just not into it anymore so I leave him on his stomach and guess what- he has never slept better! (not that he was a bad sleeper before, but now he's taking longer naps which was our problem).

Since rolling over, I've really noticed his neck muscles improving and he sits up like a little seal! Too cute. Two days ago Austin rolled from him belly to his stomach, which is another huge accomplishment and he just did it for a second time about a half hour ago. He's a little wiggle worm! The other day he was on his play mat, I left the room for just about a minute and by the time I had come back, he had scooted all the way off of it! I swear- this kid is STRONG and going to be crawling SOON!

Another thing that he's really trying to do is sit up. he'll be on his back or in a chair that's reclining a bit and he will lift his head up using his entire core! It's amazing how quickly they develop!

Teething. I swear, he's starting to teeth. He's drooling like a maniac, kinda fussy and wants to knaw on EVERYTHING. I'm really going to be sad when he cuts his first tooth- I am IN LOVE with his little toothless grin!!!!

Also, we tried rice cereal for the first time last night and it's a hit! Video and pics coming in a few minutes.

I'm going back to work on Monday and I can finally say that I am ready. I can' even imagine going back a month ago, but now he just seems bigger and stronger. As I've mentioned, I really love our new day care lady. Her name is Belinda an I'm sure you'll hear a lot about her. One of the main reasons I like her is that she takes the kids out and about to the library, the park, the bounce house, etc. From the get-go Ryan and I really wanted to socialize Austin. There's no reason that he should be couped up in a house all day! I'm sad that I am not going to spend my days with my little man anymore, but ready for adult interaction (I've become quite possibly the most boring person ever these days!) and I am excited for Austin to be around other children. I am trying to savour these last couple of days with him...Let's just hope I don't cry on Monday (and let's also hope I can get out the door on time!).

Lastly, my girlfriend Cassandra and her husband Doug had a beautiful baby girl that they named Eden Marie Heald on Feb. 16th! Austin and Zach are excited to have another buddy and if she looks anything like her gorgeous mama, they will be chasing her down in about 16 years!

Okay, not so short... but really, I did condense!
